About us

The Arthritis Portal is an initiative by researchers at Lund University with the aim to share accurate and up-to-date information about osteoarthritis including the latest developments in osteoarthritis research.

The Arthritis Portal has been made possible to launch thanks to generous contributions from The Foundation for Assistance to the Disabled in southern Sweden (Stiftelsen för bistånd åt rörelsehindrade i Skåne).

The Arthritis Portal's content has been created in collaboration with researchers from the LOAD (Lund OsteoArthritis Division) network. The two leading people behind the portal are:

Professor Martin Englund is the initiator, website owner, and main content reviewer of The Arthritis Portal. Martin has been an osteoarthritis researcher for more than 20 years and is also a member of the international osteoarthritis organization Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI).

Ebba is the web manager and editor of The Arthritis Portal. She has a bachelor's degree in media and communication from University of Gothenburg and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Luleå University of Technology, she is also a registered nurse.
